The Oral Health Advisory Panel (OHAP) is a collaboration of esteemed healthcare professionals.

The panel aims to lead the dialogue on good oral health habits and the importance of establishing these habits at an early age. By taking a holistic view to improving oral health the long-term outcomes could lead to a deeper understanding of the benefits for all Australians.

The 13 members of the panel represent experts in their fields from Dentists; Academics leading research into improving dental health; Public Health Advisors; the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) and Dental & Oral Health Therapists; Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Developmental Psychologist.

The Oral Health Advisory Panel’s focus is firmly aimed at improving oral health of all Australians as a means to enhance general health and wellbeing. Our aim is to help lessen the impact of some systemic diseases and address the outcomes of oral health conditions, such as tooth decay.
