Jo Purssey

Jo graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004, with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science, Oral Health. Since that time she has worked in private general dental practice. Jo is an active and passionate advocate for oral health, a preventive model of care and her profession.
Jo is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia, and currently holds the position of national President Elect and currently works in private practice in Brisbane and in central Queensland. Jo has been involved in developing, planning and running community oral health projects and professional development seminars and conferences for members of her profession. She has been the recipient of grants to assist in these measures.Jo supports oral health and the prevention of oral diseases for all members of the community across the life span and advocates strongly for the valid role of all members of the extended dental team.
